The ZONS®eco is a fully biological water treatment plant. Following pretreatment in a sedimentation tank, the remaining pollutants reach an activation chamber where they are absorbed by floating microorganisms (activated sludge), which convert them to biomass. In the process, alternate circulation and ventilation creates a medium where carbon is degraded, as well as nitrogen.
The ZONS®eco works simply and effectively. Instead of the municipal canalization, the wastewater coming from a house connection is conveyed directly to a ZONS®eco tank, where it is purified in a fully biological manner, with no added chemicals.
Once the wastewater has completed several phases of the treatment process, it can be processed for another use or left to seep into the ground.
