Grease separator: Used for organic animal or vegetable grease and oils such as butter, margarine, tallow and fats. Wastewater pollution of this kind for example occurs in kitchens, restaurants, butcheries or similar operations.

The separation is performed by gravity alone. Oils and fats, being lighter than water, rise to the surface, while solids settle at the bottom. The outlet runs to the municipal canalization via a sampling shaft.

Starch separator: Separation of starch by way of gravity and retention of solids.
